Flight Into Egypt: An Icon in Motion

Brehm Center Students Jerome Blanco, Kyle Oesch, Matthew Aughtry, Jonathan Stoner, and Brehm Center Professor Kutter Callaway recently released Flight Into Egypt: An Icon in Motion, a short, art-film based on Matthew 2:13-15.

The piece is intended to engage the theological imagination through words, images, and sounds. Like an icon, participants are encouraged to see through these pictures, giving voice to a concrete reality that is shot through with a deeper resonance.

The filmmakers would like to thank “our wonderful actors, Jennifer Hernandez and Sergio Zapata, as well as the generous help of the Brehm Center and its Interim Director Joe Gallagher.”

This project is the first step in a larger project. The filmmakers eagerly welcome any feedback.
