Clayton J. Schmit, PhD, served as the Arthur DeKruyter/Christ Church Oak Brook Associate Professor of Preaching and academic director of the Brehm Center for Worship, Theology, and the Arts from 2000 until 2012, when he became provost of Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary’s School of Theology. His publications include Praying the Hours in Ordinary Life (coauthored with Lauralee Farrer, 2010), Sent and Gathered: A Worship Manual for the Missional Church (2009), and Too Deep for Words: A Theology of Liturgical Expression (2002).
