The Turtledove, the Swallow, and the Crane

Matthew Tinken recently presented his Master’s Thesis project as part of the annual Brehm Center Artventures event. A video of his presentation – a live, full band concert of his conept album The Turtledove, the Sparrow, and the Crane – is embedded below. (Our apologies for the low audio quality.)

Matthew’s album is inspired by a few of our favorite people and places – Flannery O’Conner, Jeremiah, and the Salton Sea. It tells the story of a family living near the Sea and particularly the story of a daughter and her understanding of home.

Matthew is currently in the home stretch of funding the recording of his album via Kickstarter. Watch the video below of his presentation and visit his Kickstarter page to support his work.
