Before her passing in April 2014, Thelma served the Fuller community for 16 years as a member of the Information Technology and Distributed Learning teams. For many of those years she gave oversight to Fuller’s internal web presence and portals, putting her in touch with students and employees across the seminary. She labeled her photograph of the Pasadena campus Prayer Garden, which appears in this article, “one of my favorite places.”

Thelma moved to the United States from El Salvador in 1990 and met her future husband, Mario, as they served together with their church’s youth group. They married and had a son, Michael. Thelma’s faith and passion for family, the church, international mission, and the work of Fuller inspired those around her.
