Almost as long as people have been making movies, they’ve been making movies about Jesus. Some of them are good films; some of them are not. All of them are interesting. In this new podcast series, we’re watching a handfull of Jesus movies and considering what makes a good Jesus movie good and a not-so-good Jesus movie not-so-good.
In this third episode, we’re looking at one of the most financially successful Jesus films of all time – Gibson’s Passion of the Christ. In the final epsiode in this series, we’ll talk about the Pythons’ Life of Brian. In the future, we hope to augment this series by watching non-Western Jesus movies.
