Almost as long as people have been making movies, they’ve been making movies about Jesus. Some of them are good films; some of them are not. All of them are interesting. In this new podcast series, we’re watching a handfull of Jesus movies and considering what makes a good Jesus movie good and a not-so-good Jesus movie not-so-good.
The second and third episode in this series looked at DeMille’s King of Kings, Pasolini’s St. Matthew, and Gibson’s Passion. In this final episode, we’re talking about the Pythons’ Life of Brian. In the future, we hope to augment this series by watching non-Western Jesus movies.
