There is a long history of memorializing the saints of the Church in art. Cinema is a young artform, however, and a coherent, succint method of creating cinematic art that features the saints and serves to both challenge and encourage the Church has yet to be defined.
On this new Reel Spirituaity Podcast series, we’re considering what a “Cinema of the Saints” might look like, and to begin, we’re looking at some of the finest films ever made explicitly about saints. In this final episode, we discuss all the films we’ve watched and what we’ve learned.
