+ Dr. Scott Cormode introduces 1 and 2 Kings with a particular focus on what the women in these narratives can teach us about God—when we’ve corrected the ways they’ve been traditionally misinterpreted.
Scott Cormode is Hugh De Pree Professor of Leadership Development at Fuller Seminary. He founded the Academy of Religious Leadership, an organization for professors who teach leadership in seminaries, and its Journal of Religious Leadership. He is the author of the book Making Spiritual Sense: Theological Interpretation as Christian Leadership, as well as numerous articles.
“We have had historically a misunderstanding of how we read 1 and 2 Kings if we take them to be about the women who excuse the faults and the sins of the men.” – Scott Cormode
