David J. Downs is associate professor of New Testament studies and associate dean for the Center for Advanced Theological Studies (CATS) at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he has served on the faculty since 2007. He is the author of The Offering of the Gentiles (Mohr Siebeck, 2008; Eerdmans, 2016) and Alms (Baylor University Press, 2016). Since 2009, Dr. Downs has regularly served as a visiting professor at St. Paul College in Mwanza, Tanzania.
